Paperworld Middle East introduces Kraft and Packaging Section as MEA Market grows

Upcoming Paperworld Middle East 2024: Set to showcase the latest innovations in Kraft paper and sustainable packaging solutions.

The 13th edition of Paperworld Middle East, scheduled for 12-14 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will feature a new Kraft and Packaging section. This addition addresses the rising demand for sustainable materials in the paper industry and highlights the increasing regional focus on environmentally friendly packaging solutions.

Research from Mordor Intelligence estimates that the Kraft Paper and Packaging sectors in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) will reach US$10.6 billion by 2025, reflecting significant growth potential in the region.

Syed Ali Akbar, Show Director for Paperworld Middle East, commented, “The inclusion of the Kraft and Packaging section is a response to the industry’s shift towards sustainable materials. This new section expands the event’s scope, offering a comprehensive platform to showcase innovative paper products.”

The section will feature 16 exhibitors, including prominent names such as April Fine, Navigator, Roxcel, Habras Trading, and Bloomfield Paper Factory. Among the key products is Navigator’s gKraft, made from Eucalyptus globulus, a fibre that offers more recycling cycles and greater compostability compared to other wood types. The gKraft range is approved for food contact and promoted as a healthier alternative to recycled paper.

Kraft paper, known for its durability, recyclability, and cost-effectiveness, has become a popular choice in the packaging industry. The new Kraft and Packaging section will provide a platform for industry professionals to explore advancements in sustainable materials and cutting-edge printing technologies.

Paperworld Middle East will also host The Hub Forum, where industry experts will discuss trends and future developments in the paper and packaging sectors. Rohit Ghosh, Global Commercial Head at April Fine, will present a session on the advancements in paper-based packaging materials, focusing on sustainability and functionality.

The exhibition will run alongside Gifts and Lifestyle Middle East, featuring a wide range of paper products, office supplies, and packaging solutions from global manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors.
