Arla launches new Milka chocolate milk range

Milka’s new chocolate milk range: Premium Pure-Pak® cartons in Original Chocolate, Caramel, and Noisette flavors.

Arla Foods, in collaboration with Mondelēz International, has introduced a new line of Milka chocolate milk products. This launch marks a significant development in the history of the Milka brand, which Mondelēz has owned since 2012.

The new Milka chocolate milk range, which became available in June 2024, includes three flavors—Original Chocolate, Caramel, and Noisette—and comes in three different pack sizes. Arla has chosen the 750ml Pure-Pak® carton for its quality and environmental benefits. Leif Petersen, Head of Commercial Chocolate Milk at Arla Foods, commented, “The main reason for choosing Pure-Pak™ cartons is that we think it is a great match for strong consumer brands, as it has a very premium appeal and helps our Milka products to stand out on shelf. In addition, it delivers strongly on sustainability.”

Under the new licensing agreement, Arla will distribute and market these products in Germany, Austria, and Poland. The products will be manufactured at Arla’s facility in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Patrik Hansson, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Arla Foods, stated, “Milka is a beloved brand, and I know we have the production, commercial, and marketing expertise to take it to the next level, which is why our ambition is clear: We want to achieve number 1 or 2 positions in our launch markets.”

Milka, introduced in 1901 by Suchard, remains one of the world’s most recognized chocolate brands, with over 150,000 products sold across more than 15 countries.
