HYBRID Software unveils PACKZ 10 with new features

Capture 3D in PACKZ offers precise grid management with both 2D and 3D mapping for accurate deformation and modeling.

HYBRID Software has released PACKZ 10, the latest version of its PDF editing software tailored for label and packaging printing. This new edition of the all-in-one prepress application integrates several advanced features aimed at boosting automation and productivity.

PACKZ 10 introduces enhanced connectivity with EngView’s CAD software, providing significant improvements for users in the folding carton sector. This integration is expected to streamline workflows and offer a more user-friendly experience for CAD users. “The integration with EngView enhances our editing and automation tools, marking a significant advancement in packaging production for folding cartons,” said Pascal Wybo, Product Manager at HYBRID Software.

The software also includes Capture 3D technology, which improves the quality and detail of printing on metal cans. This feature supports precise deformation grids and live 3D viewing, opening new possibilities for branding in metal can packaging. This follows the company’s earlier introduction of shrink sleeve technology.

Additionally, PACKZ 10’s Packzimizer, which handles auto layout and step-and-repeat functions for digital and offset printing, has been upgraded to better manage short print runs. The system now optimizes label layout based on order data, improving substrate usage and press efficiency.

PACKZ 10 was showcased at drupa 2024, where it received positive feedback for its innovative features and enhancements.
