Taghleef Industries yesterday has introduced a new ultra clear floatable TDS film for TD shrink sleeve labels, which helps to minimise the impact on PET recycling systems.
The new film features low-density polyolefin polymers that reduce the weight of the label.
Speaking at the press conference, Emanuela Bardi of Taghleef, said, “The USP of the new film is its exceptional shrink curve in transverse direction (TD) that guarantees up to 65% shrinkage, offering the freedom to fully decorate containers in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and the potential for 360° eye-catching label graphics.”
TDS’ low shrink force enables the labelling of empty and thin containers eliminating the squeezing risk.
Taghleef is displaying its speciality label films range, available for PSL facestock applications as well as over-laminations, and in-mould and wrap-around labels.
The special finishes include extra matte finish Softtouch with tactile properties, anti-scratch films with gloss, matte and silky-matte finishes for scuff and abrasion resistance and the anti-bacterial films provide an extra layer of protection for hygiene, personal care and infant nutrition products by killing 99.9% of bacteria that come into contact with the surface.
