Emirates Energy Award 2023-2025 recognizes innovative environmental practices

The Emirates Energy Award celebrated World Environment Day, an initiative by the United Nations Environment Programme, highlighting global environmental challenges and engaging communities to preserve natural resources and biodiversity.

 

Aligned with the World Environment Day’s theme, ‘Our Land. Our Future. We are Generation Restoration,’ the Emirates Energy Award promotes innovative practices that protect natural resources and support global efforts in environmental conservation.

 

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) and Chairman of the Emirates Energy Award, emphasized the UAE’s commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. He stated, “We reaffirm our commitment to enhancing sustainability, energy efficiency, and contributing to national sustainability plans, including the UAE Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative.”

 

His Excellency Al Tayer highlighted the 5th Emirates Energy Award 2023-2025 under the theme ‘Empowering Carbon Neutrality,’ aiming to showcase best practices in energy efficiency, innovation, and renewable energy use. The award recognizes efforts by both public and private sectors in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects globally.

The Emirates Energy Award, initiated by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, provides a platform for institutions and individuals to showcase their energy management and conservation initiatives. It promotes the use of clean and renewable energy sources, supporting development and innovation in the energy sector.

 

The award features 10 categories focusing on creativity, innovation, energy efficiency, and promoting renewable energy. These categories recognize achievements in energy conservation’s economic, social, and environmental impact.
