Revolutionary LabelSaver (DtS) debuts at drupa 2024

LabelSaver: Revolutionizing DtS Printing at drupa 2024.

The LabelSaver, a direct-to-shape (DtS) inkjet platform, has made its debut at drupa 2024. This advanced system, developed through a collaboration between K-Flow Consulting, O&PM Europa, and ideeGO, represents a significant leap in digital-printing technology.

Designed for printing directly onto non-porous substrates such as plastics, compounds, and metals, the LabelSaver uses both aqueous and UV-curable inks. It offers an output range of 300 to 800 articles per hour. “This machine opens up new possibilities for customization, efficiency, and sustainability,” said a representative from O&PM Europa. The system features a primer developed by O&PM Europa that instantly fixes and cures aqueous inks, enabling seamless printing directly onto shaped articles. This innovation eliminates the need for traditional labeling or in-mold decoration methods.

In addition, the LabelSaver can print UV-curable topcoats for embossing effects. The machine is equipped with near-infrared (NIR) units from Lambda Technology, printheads from Seiko Instruments, and electronics and image-processing software from Meteor. Ink supply systems are provided by Neatjet, and UV-LED curing units come from IST Intech. These components are showcased as part of the ESMA pavilion at drupa, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability.

Live demonstrations of the LabelSaver are ongoing at drupa 2024 on the IPI Inkjet Print Platform, part of the ESMA industrial pavilion. Visitors have the opportunity to witness the machine’s capabilities firsthand and explore its potential applications across various industry sectors.
