Kodak has introduced new solutions for digital and traditional print production at drupa 2024, aiming to enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability for printers.
Inkjet Innovations
Kodak’s new KODAK OPTIMAX Pre-coater offers efficient primer application for production inkjet printing, compatible with the KODAK PROSPER ULTRA 520 Press. This pre-coater facilitates inkjet printing on various substrates, minimizing ink consumption and drying times.
The KODAK PROSPER ULTRA 520 Press, featuring KODAK ULTRASTREAM Continuous Inkjet Technology, will demonstrate live printing at speeds up to 152 meters per minute. This press delivers high-quality prints on various substrates, maintaining its highest resolution at full speed.
Kodak has also introduced the KODAK PROSPER Print Bar, which integrates with offset, flexo, and gravure presses. This technology uses KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology and KODAK EKTACOLOR Inks to provide accurate color-to-color registration and flexibility in printing custom packaging, security, and commercial applications.
Offset Solutions
Kodak unveiled the new KODAK SONORA Ultra Process Free Plate, offering enhanced image contrast, exposure tolerance, and image stability. This process-free technology eliminates the need for processing chemicals and equipment, boosting productivity and sustainability for over 6,000 customers worldwide.
The KODAK MAGNUS Q3600 Titan Platesetter enhances automation and productivity for plate imaging. This versatile CTP system handles various plate sizes and features a multi-pallet loader for up to 7,500 plates online.
Workflow Software
The KODAK PRINERGY Access 2.0 content management SaaS solution includes Intelligent Layout technology for efficient file preparation and production. This platform provides a single workflow solution compatible with digital and analog printing processes.
Kodak will also showcase KODAK PRINERGY Business Solutions, a fully integrated business software portfolio for print-specific MIS/ERP, e-commerce, and collaboration applications. This end-to-end solution aims to streamline operations for print organizations of any size.
