In a recent discussion in Dubai, Ben Daniel of Packaging MEA explored into the pioneering strategies and eco-conscious contributions of Chiara Prati, CEO of Prati, and Pankaj, CEO of Printech, as they champion innovation in the packaging realm.
Prati, boasting a rich legacy of over 50 years, specializes in crafting state-of-the-art finishing and converting machinery. Chiara Prati illuminated their dedication to innovation and automation, spotlighting their flagship SATURN machine. She remarked, “We invested a lot in expanding the capabilities of our SATURN machine, making it capable not only to be a finishing solution for self-adhesive labels but also to become a converting line for all kinds of materials used in the industry to decorate a product.”
Beyond technological advancements, Prati has embraced sustainability as a cornerstone of its ethos. Having secured ISO 14,001 certification in 2018, they underscore their environmental stewardship. Chiara Prati elucidated, “Nowadays, the company is carbon neutral, so we compensate all the CO2 production by planting trees. Prati has two forests, one in Kenya and one in Sicily.”
Printech, Prati’s steadfast collaborator in the Middle East since 2007, has been instrumental in their ascent. Pankaj underscored their shared values of integrity, customer service, and innovation. He emphasized, “There is no process as sell-only. If you promote the right solution, the customer will buy. They see the benefit.”
In essence, the synergy between Prati and Printech epitomizes fruitful cooperation in the packaging sector. With a joint commitment to innovation, automation, and environmental responsibility, they continue to redefine industry benchmarks in label converting. Their holistic approach not only augments their enterprises but also fosters a more eco-conscious landscape within the packaging domain.
At drupa 2024, Prati is set to reveal its latest innovation: the Digi Compact. This cutting-edge converting and finishing line aims to transform the production of self-adhesive labels and digitally printed flexible packaging.
