PulPac and LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW have announced a collaboration to develop sustainable packaging solutions using PulPac’s Dry Molded Fiber technology. This partnership aims to create environmentally friendly packaging alternatives for the premium confectionery brand.
PulPac’s Dry Molded Fiber technology uses renewable fibers from responsibly managed forests, offering a resource-efficient and cost-competitive alternative to traditional plastic and other fiber-based packaging. This collaboration is supported by the design studio Office of Possibilities (OP), which will help turn innovative ideas into practical, high-quality designs.
Sanna Fager, Chief Commercial Officer at PulPac, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are thrilled to now drive sustainable packaging innovation in the high-end segment together with LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW.”
Johan Bülow, Founder and Creative Director at LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability. “At LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW, we have a history of challenging the conventional and never accepting the status quo – and sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Exploring innovative technologies for responsibly produced packaging aligns well with our values and sustainability commitment,” he said.
This collaboration responds to increasing consumer demand for sustainable products. PulPac and LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW aim to demonstrate the viability of eco-friendly packaging solutions in the premium confectionery industry, which has high demands for both design and functionality.
Fager highlighted the goals of the partnership: “By combining PulPac’s expertise in Dry Molded Fiber technology with OP’s design capabilities and LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW’s passion for excellence, we hope to see concrete results of the collaboration in the near future.”
