Dantex has recently signed a new distributor agreement for the MEA region with Dubai based Afra International DMCC. The move represents the first digital distributor partnership agreement since the formation of the company’s digital division.
Dantex, established their digital division in 2015, principally to develop its own range of digital presses, launched under the Pico brand. Since then, Dantex Digital has grown since then, manufacturing up to 8 digital presses at any one time.
With an extensive operation across the Middle East and Africa, Afra International is one of the region’s prominent suppliers of print finishing and packaging equipment. Looking to provide their customers with a high quality versatile digital solution, the Dantex Pico range is perfect for their requirements.
Commenting on the partnership with the Dantex Group, Afra International’s general manager, Vinay Krishnan, said, “In providing both short and long runs, as well as being able to work with conventional label stock, Dantex’s UV inkjet solutions are the perfect fit for printers in the MEA region. As a complete digital solution, both the PicoColour and PicoJet are easy to operate, unlike conventional flexo solutions. We are currently engaged in intensive marketing activities throughout our region to promote the Pico range and the responses we are getting are highly encouraging, even from far-flung areas of Africa.
“We have found the whole learning process with Dantex very effective and well organised. We very much look forward developing our partnership further.”
“This is our first digital distributor agreement, which shows Dantex’s serious intent and confidence to push the digital division with global distributor partners,” said Simon Cosh, digital business development manager for the Pico range. Being part of our global strategy for the digital presses, creating distributor partnerships in key regions will drive the digital business forward. Afra International is a great business to work with and we have already completed some successful training with a number of countries in their region.”
