The Durst Group, a leading manufacturer of digital printing and production technologies, is presenting its latest solutions at drupa 2024 under the theme “Ready to Print.” The company is highlighting advancements in large format printing, packaging, labels, and software at Hall 16, Stand A41-1/2.

Durst Packaging/Folding Carton – VariJET 106
The VariJET 106, developed in collaboration with Koenig & Bauer, represents a significant step in the digitalization of industrial folding carton production. Utilizing water-based inks, it is suitable for primary packaging, including food. The VariJET 106 supports B1 format and offers a printing speed of 5,500 sheets per hour, with a monthly capacity of 500,000 to over 1 million B1 sheets. Its hybrid design allows for the integration of several finishing units, making it an efficient solution for high-quality, short to medium runs in various industries.
Durst Packaging/Corrugated Printing – White Ink for SPC 130
Durst is introducing a water-based white ink for the Delta SPC 130, enhancing industrial digital corrugated printing. This new white ink offers high opacity on brown corrugated board, improving image quality and enabling better design options for transport packaging. All inks and fluids used meet current and future food industry standards.
Durst Packaging/Label Printing – KJet
The KJet, a new hybrid solution for label printing developed with OMET, combines OMET’s dual servo flexo printing units with Durst’s RSCi inkjet technology. It includes modules for finishing and processing, such as cold foil stamping and die-cutting units, tailored to customer requirements.
Durst Graphics/Large Format Printing – P5 SMP™
The P5 SMP expands Durst’s large format printing portfolio, targeting sectors like Sign & Display, POP/POS, and Industrial Decor. This hybrid LED super-multi-pass system offers a print width of 3.5 meters and productivity of up to 2,000 m²/h, with an annual capacity of 5 million m². It processes both roll and sheet materials.
Durst Graphics/Large Format Printing – Aleph Laforte 600 Paper
Following the acquisition of Aleph S.r.l. in 2023, Durst is showcasing the Aleph Laforte 600 Paper, designed for poster and billboard printing. It achieves an output of 1,000 m²/h with six colors and 1,200 dpi, setting a new standard in the field.
Durst Software & Solutions – 360° End-to-End Portfolio
Durst’s Software & Solutions unit, established in 2018, employs around 100 people and offers a comprehensive software ecosystem. This includes web shops, online graphics editors, workflow and analytics solutions, and ERP/MIS systems. Notably, the Hawk Eye innovation uses AI for real-time quality assurance in digital printing, analyzing each print image at full speed.
