Norway-based company’s portfolio develops with eco options
norwayElopak (European Licensee of Pure-Pak) is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its founded on 11 February 1957 by Johan Andresen Snr. who invested in the vision of Norwegian engineer Christian August Johansen to bring the Pure-Pak carton licence to Europe from the United States and to build Pure-Pak filling machines.
Today Elopak has developed and expanded to more than 30 countries with over 40 office sites including 11 manufacturing plants and 3 Pure-Pak associates, and operates in over 80 markets.
The traditional Pure-Pak carton has grown into a portfolio meeting changing consumerdemands. Its wide range of carton packaging includes a virtually 100% renewable carton. Elopak has also developed the Pure-Pak Aseptic System to meet market demands for high-speed and high-quality filling equipment for long shelf life applications.
In 2011 Elopak opened a new filling machine manufacturing plant in Mönchengladbach, Germany. In 2013 Elopak started the production of roll fed aseptic packaging material and is ramping up the business with both new and existing customers.
