Swedish firm’s deal with Packages Limited targets packaging made with cardboard
pakistan Sweden-based A&R Carton has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Packages Limited of Lahore in Pakistan to establish co-operation in manufacturing, procurement, sales and marketing in Pakistan and neighbouring markets of packaging made out or featuring cardboard.
Based in Lund, Sweden, A&R Carton is a member of the leading European packaging company AR Packaging, whose president and CEO, Harald Schulz, said the deal followed a strategy of expansion outside Europe.
“In line with our strategy to expand our footprint outside of Europe, our partnership with Packages Limited will further strengthen our platform and benefit our global customer base,” he said.“After having been a founding partner of Packages Limited in 1956, we are very pleased to join forces with such an established company again to collaborate on new target markets.”
Syed Hyder Ali, CEO of Packages Ltd, said the partnership agreement would “further strengthen” his company’s domestic market position and give it “entry to the international markets”.
“We will be able to leverage AR Packaging’s technology and know-how,” he said. “This partnership will allow us to better serve our customers.”
A&R Carton is a member of AR Packaging, one of Europe’s leading companies in the packaging sector with a turnover of EUR600m and 3,200 employees in 20 factories in 10 countries. The head office is situated in Lund.
