Firm moves to free zone with eye on exports and investment in 13-inch Gallus press lines
Dubai: Yess Labels and Paper Converters (YLPC) has moved to a new facility in Dubai’s International Media Production Zone (IMPZ).
The company told Packaging MEA that the shift was spurred by its ambitions for exports.
“We did want to move to a free zone with our expansion to concentrate on exports, so IMPZ suited us well,” said a YESS spokesperson.
Dubai-based YESS describes itself as a flexible manufacturer of self-adhesive plain labels and paper products with a focus on markets in health care, food, lubricants, and industrial applications. The company’s portfolio includes self-adhesive direct thermal labels, preprinted and blank labels, filmic labels, security and self-destructive labels, preprinted barcode labels, point-of-sale rolls, and PPC rolls.
YESS has also recently invested in new kit from Gallus and made associated investments. “We have invested in a Gallus ECS 340 and Prati Modular converting and finishing line,” the company told PackagingMEA.
“The investment in the press and finishing lines was chosen to suit a 13-inch requirement, which is ideal for most of the mid- and big-size labels to print efficiently. The Gallus press also suit small- to medium-run length jobs that have become the order of the day. The investment was to the tune of EUR700,000.” YESS added that the investment was also aimed at catering for larger-scale clients.
“We had only one press, which was a bit of a restriction to reach to big clients, so we had invested in this new 13-inch press to cater to medium and big clients,” said YESS.
“Overall GCC label industry growth seems to be average, but with new machine we would like to reach to medium and big clients that we currently do not cater for, so I presume we will have reasonable growth of 15%.
“We are professional converter of labels in smaller size with a very flexible approach towards the market’s needs.”
