Dubai Reprotronics has added a new service in CNC dies and block making through magnesium blocks with etching for printing to its services for offset and flexible packaging printing.
Established in 1993, the company describes itself as a professional and technologically advanced prepress establishment for the printing industry with offset and flexible packaging.
“Now we have introduced a premium fine-quality technology as a digital engraving process, which is known as CNC technology process produces the premium finish in brass, copper and magnesium,” general manager Sebastian V Lonth told Packaging MEA.
“Although the requirement of the industry in the industry is very minimum in consumption, we as Reprotronics always venture the world-class technology and make it available in this region, which we do with great passion and vision for the industry.”
CNC-finished dies/blocks are exclusively for the security and luxury products and its packaging, added Lonth.
“Experts who are experienced and qualified to use this to the optimum level in post-production techniques are few in this region but in future the scenario would be different,” he said.
“This precision German technology gives another milestone as a post-press tool for Reprotronics to produce and serve the industry.”
The new service introduces CNC dies/blocks available now in magnesium and brass with counterforce.
For foil, the service covers foil, normal, micro texture, and texture with security features.
In foil and emboss, the service introduces dies/blocks with fluted counterforce, deboss and emboss dies/blocks with Counterforce, and multilevel dies/blocks with counterforce.
Dies are finished according to the specification of the machine, said Lonth. “This technology is exclusively for security and luxury products and its packaging.”
