With collaboration from Sun Chemical for ink technology and Morchem for lamination, the event on 29-30 April covered flexo, rotogravure and offset printing as well as lamination, slitting and peripheral equipment.

More than 90 professionals from 42 Turkish converting companies attended the presentations, which Comexi’s country representative Mensad International Trading helped to organise.

After covering printing on the first day, the lectures then focused on converting and gave “a huge importance” to holography and how inline laser processes on slitting machines can enhance packaging and boost productivity, said the Spain-based company.

Comexi said participants gave positive feedback and the firm may now hold similar events in other markets.

The company has worked with Mensad International Trading since November 2012 in Turkey, where the firms have so far sold 10 flexible packaging machines.
