Constantia sets up Dubai offshoot

Constantia Flexibles has founded a Middle East subsidiary headquartered in Jumeirah Lake Towers in Dubai in the UAE.

By establishing Constantia Flexibles JLT, the flexible packaging group is targeting growth marketing in Asia, Middle East/Africa and Russia.

CEO Thomas Unger said the move is an “important milestone” in Constantia Flexibles’ strategy of continued profitable growth.

“With this step we want to take decisions closer to our customers and employees, in order to increasingly support the growth of our customers in international markets,” he said.

The new company is managed by Friedrich Humer, member of the Executive Committee of Constantia Flexibles; Peter Burchardt, finance director; Vedat Baylan, senior vice president sales; and Juergen Leeb, SVP operations.

In its preliminary third quarter results, Constantia Flexibles announced its sales revenues soared by 24.4% to €1.23bn for the first nine months of the year, including results from Globalpack, Spear, Parikh Packaging, which were all acquired this year.

Based in Vienna, Constantia Flexibles supplies international customers in the food, pet food, pharmaceutical and beverage industries.

The group has more than 8,000 employees in over 50 group companies in more than 20 countries.
